Diabetes Insipidus is a condition in which kidneys of the body become incapable of conserving water. There are several forms of diabetes insipidus and central Diabetes Insipidus is one among them. In the human body, antidiuretic hormone (ADH) known as vasopressin is responsible for conserving the amount of water in the body. The hormone is produced in a brain’s region known as hypothalamus. Central Diabetes Insipidus is mainly results from deficiency of ADH hormone in the body. Neurogenic Diabetes Insipidus and neurohypophyseal diabetes insipidus are alternative names of the condition.
